Riddick To The Fourth Power

To me, it seems as though Vinny D may be having a little comeback. Now is it the right moves for a comeback, that I doubt. As excited I am for Fast & Furious, it’s going to be a total cheese fest and totally lame. Babylon A.D. the director isn’t even happy with so I can only imagine that’s going to be choppy as hell. Now we get wind that there are talks for two more Riddickulus’s I mean Riddicks. I gotta say that Pitch Black was awesome. I thought that was original, and Vin Diesel was cool as hell in it. And then Chronicles made me stand up and go… WTF! Totally missed the mark like Mike Bay missed it with Pearl Harbor. Was not at all what I expected. I still enjoyed it minimally nevertheless as it is sci-fi joygasm. Here’s some of the whiptydo from Latinoreview:
Vin Diesel spoke with MTV about he and Director David Twohy working on two more Riddick sequels:
“David Twowy right now is writing the scripts. The only question is whether we take a page from the ‘Lord of the Rings’ guys and try to shoot the two chapters at the same time. There are two more in mind,” he said of Riddick, the Furyan warrior first introduced in the 2000 film “Pitch Black.” “‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ was presented as a three part trilogy that would answer ‘Pitch Black’ in the same way that ‘Lord of the Rings’ answered ‘The Hobbit.’”“Everyone knows I love the Riddick character and I’m always working on it,” Diesel asserted. “It just takes five years to make another one because David Twohy and I are so precious about it.”
You know what I would like to see more of Vin in? Movies like Find Me Guilty. He was awesome in that role, and that movie didn’t really get a lot of screen time anywhere. If you get a chance, I reccomend you head out and rent it or something. It’s funny, smart, and quick moving. You can get me on record right now as I say this. I say that Vin Diesel’s future movie career will be decided by 1) Fast & Furious 2) Babylon A.D. If those two movies bring in some bank than studios and producers will continue to give the man work. I’ll also say that I hope they do because I think Vin is a great actor and just needs to find his niche.
