David Duchovny Is A Sex Addict!!!!

Posted in 1 on August 29, 2008 by Erick

David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, X-Files, bed

Holy crap this is good.  I feel bad, or do I?  Here’s some weird, albeit funny news involving David Duchovny thanks to the homiewashers over at ropeofsilicone :

In a strange bit of irony, David Duchovny has entered a rehabilitation facility for sex addiction. Duchovny recently starred in The X-Files: I Want to Believe , but his regular paycheck comes from playing a sex-obsessed character on the Showtime series " Californication ," which earned the actor a Golden Globe Award in 2008 . The show’s second season begins September 28.

Via his publicist Duchovny released a statement saying, "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

The statement made by his lawyer, Stanton "Larry" Stein, to People said, "I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction."

Duchovny is married to Tea Leoni who stars in the upcoming flick Ghost Town , but there wasn’t any elaboration on the report, which is to say there was no talk of adultry.

Leoni and Duchovny have two children.

Umm… Are you supposed to feel bad for someone  that is a sex addict?  If it means he’s cheating on his wife who unbeknownst to me is Tea Leoni who seems like an awesome chick, and very hot too then nay not cool.  If he sits there at the edge of the bed and watches her sleep and enjoys some cream with his coffe then… Well, that’s a bit wack.  I also think it’s funny that David plays a sex addict in his show Californication and he’s one in real life.  I don’t know the entire story, but I hope everything works out for Dave.  I think he’s a wonderful actor, and I enjoy him in everything that he’s in.  Didn’t he make out with Gillian Anderson in the new X-Files?  I wonder if he had a chubby mid kiss?  That would have been embarrasing.

Voltron Go!

Posted in 1 on August 29, 2008 by Erick

I have not watched Voltron ever.  But after familiarizing myself with it thanks to wikipedia, I’m excited to say, hell yay for Voltron.  Who knows… Maybe this time they will stay true to it’s source material, as a certain other sentient robot movie forgot to do ahem… Thanks to comingsoon  via latinoreview  for this wonderfully whimsically mad news:

Last week, it was reported that New Regency had put Voltron: Defender of the Universe into turnaround. The news said that Relativity Media is now backing the property with a more moderate budget, utilizing the type of cost-effective technology employed in films like 300. A director was going to be attached in a week.

Now, Latino Review has learned that Max Makowski will take on the directing duties for the project, which was written by Justin Marks.

Gang, do you remember the days of Voltron?  Are you excited they are going forward with this project or do you think it’ll end up campy and not what you saw as children?  Remembering, it needs to take place in this updated time.

Wall-E DVD/Blu-Ray Release Details

Posted in 1 on August 28, 2008 by Erick

I said yesterday, that it’s faster and faster that movies are going to be released.  It’s a great move on the studio’s part because the movie is still fresh in people’s minds and therefore sales can be driven that way.  I wait for the day when movies come out on both home release and theater.  I don’t think that will happen but what’s the point where it’s too soon for a movie to be released?  Here’s the alligator poo thanks to mania :

A few hours after Universal Pictures announced the October release of The Incredible Hulk, Disney and Pixar have likewise announced their planned home release for Wall-E. The robot tale will be available in both single-disc and triple-disc version on November 18, 2008, with the latter version coming

with special features about the film’s robot heroes, including Web vignettes and an interactive storybook, and a detailed documentary on Pixar.

The releases also include a digital copy of the film, playable on mobile devices . When the actual specs come in from Disney, we’ll pass them along.

There is no expereince like going into a theater loaded with people, eating a jumbo frickin popcorn and a mix ICEE and enjoying a nice film with people all around you sharing the same experience.  It’s awesome.  Of course you get those vagrants every now and then who kick your seat the whole movie.  But you always deal with them afterward behind the theater don’t you?… Don’t you?  I haven’t had the chance to see Wall-E yet, but I’ve heard it’s awesome.  So when it gets released… I’ll probably rent it.  Or Netflix it.

BTW – I don’t know who’s coming up with this idea of digital copies of the movies for your iPod… But holy bird it’s awesome and it will definitely motivate me to purchase more DVD because of it.

This is swell.  Seems some peeps over in longbeach CA have captured some photos of Optimus and a few others from the set of Transformers 2: ROTF. Check out below.  Thanks for the heads up from Comingsoon:

Tf3

Optimus uses a tarp as a blanket… He also sleeps in

Tf2

I like how Optimus looks pretty much the same sans the neon bulbs on his side.

Whatever, happy to see everything is in motion.  I’m pumped to see it.

Dragonball Z Is Real!!!

Posted in 1 on August 27, 2008 by Erick

It’s on… it’s off… it’s on again.  Who knows if it’s even being made right now…  Perhaps the studio is lying to all of us.  I have no idea what Dragonball is about, but I was kind of interested in seeing this movie.  Here’s the giddy up thanks to Peter over at Slashfilm via comingsoon :

20th Century Fox will released the first trailer for the big screen adaptation of Dragonball attached to Max Payne, on October 17th. Meanwhile, rumors that Fox isn’t happy with the final film have been debunked on a variety of different websites. In fact, SuperheroFlix ’s sources claim that “everyone involved seems to think they have a hit on their hands” and that the studio has already been talking about sequel possibilities.

Just a quick question gang… Do you think too many rumors that hover about a movie affect it’s box office draw?  Or do you think it helps it because of pure curiosity?  Let me know what you think.

I’m not a big fan of special features to be honest with you.  What I do like are blooper reels, some deleted scenes, alternate endings and openings.  This includes a digital copy of the movie which is holy awesome and I plan on getting into many accidents because I was bored as hell driving and watching the Incredible Hulk.  Be funny as hell if I rear end someone and the top is down on my jeep and I’m blasting it and everyone around me hears RAAAAAAARRRR!!!!!!!! and cars flying.  OOHH sooo good!!!

Reignbloggers – Let me know what you think about these special features.  Do they spark your interest?  Are you even going to pick up The Incredible Hulk?

Reignview: Superman man man – Kevin

Posted in 1 on August 27, 2008 by Erick

Grab a glass of pissapplecider and gather round the campy fire for this installment of KCC: Superman man man:

Hey folks,

Now many of you have seen on this site and others that the Superman franchise is going to do a reboot…..again. Now some of you out there in movieland have begun to rejoice and I can sympathize with your feelings, but personally this saddens me and I will tell you why.

Way back when during the pre-production of X-Men 3 Brian Singer was attached to direct. The X-Men franchise was his baby, and we had to strong movies so far, X-Men 2 being the better. But then Brian Singer was offered the chance to direct a new Superman movie and he left X-Men only to have it directed by Brett fucking ass Ratner. This move ruined what could have been a fantastic ending to the X-Men series. (X-Men 3 was alright but a let down in the end).

Now I understand the grievances people have with the first Superman that Singer made. It was a nuanced and subtle movie, low on action, high on dramatic romance. But I know in my heart that Singer just wanted to reintroduce the series on a high note, a different level, similar to the way the new Batman series has raised the bar. I also know in my heart that the second in his series would have been action packed. The best idea would have been for some sort of creature to come from the kryptonite asteroid that Superman launched into space. This creature could come to earth, have the same strength as Superman, somehow kills his super son and then…..wait for it……. Superman fucking goes bazerk fucking roid rage on this creature in one giant fucking battle. We get the best of both worlds, killing off superman’s annoying asthmatic son and we get to see the Man of Steel go to town for once.

That said, with Singer not doing a sequel, I wish he had never left X-Men, had finished it and was now filming Wolverine. Oh well, can’t change the past……fuck I wish I could fly around the Earth and turn back time….fuck.

Wet Zombie F#C* Via Woody

Posted in 1 on August 27, 2008 by Erick

Oh zombie heavens arise!

Harrelson is one of my favorite actors.  I have a lot but there are just some that can always grab my attention a certain way, Harrelson is one of those actors.  Word is he’ll be showing up in zombie movie and that totally sweetens my pallete with zombie blood just thinking about the joyous rock n roll screengasm I will experience seeing Roy Munson  mowing down zombies.  I’ll go so far as to say that maybe this could be a modern Evil Dead dead dead dead ead ad d.  Am I voicing down with that call?  Don’t hate me for that comment.  Just think about the sweet possibilities we could all witness with Woody doing in dead style with a knife and a chainsaw.  Imagine all one liners that will be birthed from the womb of this mother film.  Mania brings us this zombie of a time news:

Expect a new zombie-focused horror comedy with Woody Harrelson attached, Maniacs. The actor is now attached to star in Zombieland, says The Hollywood Reporter. Much like Shaun of the Dead, the story focuses on two mismatched friends dealing with a world full of zombies. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick ("The Joe Schmo Show") wrote the spec while Ruben Fleischer is set to direct for Columbia Pictures . Gavin Polone and his Parish Films are producing.

Plot Concept: "Zombieland" revolves around a mismatched pair of survivors who find friendship and redemption in a world overrun by zombies. Harrelson plays one of the men, a zombie fighter named Albuquerque.

We’ve seen a lot of Woody cameos in the past couple of years, nothing with him in the main spotlight.  His role in No Country For Old Men was small and it seemed as though he was an up and coming actor with no name in it.  If you blinked you would miss him.  I need a comedy from him.  Something special that we can all wrap our fingers around.  You know what would be awesome?  A sequel to Kingpin with all cast returning sans the incredibly hot chick.  I was more angry that she was there and sooo hot and didn’t really see any point to her being there otherwise.

Will Nolan Return For Batman?

Posted in 1 on August 27, 2008 by Erick

Man I hope so.  His vision has changed the course of comic book movies forever.  Or at least for now til someone does it better.  His style has even brought studios and producers to completely forget a superman movie and do it again in the coat tails on Nolan.  Maybe he even encouraged movies like the new Hulk which is completely forgets Ang Lee’s version.   I’d be surprised if Nolan decided to not come back for a third installment.  It’s funny how there are original Batman fans, and now, there are new fans after seeing the movie.  My lady friend never even saw Batman Begins until she saw TDK.  How many people are out there like that?  There are floods of concept art, heresay and conjecture lol regarding the next installment.  TDK isn’t even out of the theater yet and already there are whispers and gospel with a new villain and new film ideas.  Here are the news bytes thanks to comingsoon via hollywood reporter :

The Hollywood Reporter has published an interesting article about the film’s marketing and the deaths of both Heath Ledger and Conway Wickliffe before the film’s release. The piece ends with a bit on the third installment.

And Warners and Legendary are both interested in doing a third in the series, but all involved say it will be up to Nolan to come to them with a story and a plan.

"There are a lot of us who emotionally would love to do it," Roven says. "But it’s really Chris’ call. Chris is the kind of filmmaker who just doesn’t think about the next movie before he has completely finished the movie he is working on."

For now, Nolan is taking a well-earned vacation.

Says Roven, "When he comes back, we will see how he feels."

The guy does deserve a vacation.  It’s currently the #2 grossing film all time domestically and the greates comic book movie ever made (my opinion).  I hope the guy comes back from vacation with some new shoes and an awesome story.  I hope he’s "vacationing" in a locked room right now drafting the perfect follow up to TDK.  I’m assuming he will come back, and this will be his final Batman picture.  We will find out what type of man he is though.  What if he wants to stop and leave the Batman world as a reigning champion in the comic book movie industry.  Do you think he fears lesser results for a third installment?  Do directors think about that stuff?

Jim Carrey And Ewan “Mcregga” Make Out

Posted in 1 with tags , on August 26, 2008 by Erick

I’M EWAN MCGREGGA DAMMIT EWAN MCGREGGA!!!!!!!

HAHA laugh dammit that shit is funny.

I’m a huge Jim Carrey fan and lately he’s let me down big time, and still there is always room in my heart for another Jim Carrey flim.  I was reading latinoreview and they give us word that Jim Carrey has a new movie coming out also featuring Obi Wan.  It’s being called a “gayomedy” and all I have to say is, thank the sweet movie makers that Jim is coming out with comedies again.  Most people didn’t like 23 and I had my qualms about it but it was a mind fuck and I like mind fucks.  Here’s the skinny gang:

Jim Carrey Online (he has his own website? Who knew.) has the first official still of his upcoming gayomedy, I love You, Philip Morris.

“I Love You Phillip Morris” tells the story of Steven Russell (Jim Carrey), a married conman who found himself in a Texan prison where he fell in love with Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor). Steven Russell tried to escape from prison four times, coming up with more and more elaborate plans, including once faking his own death. Morris was eventually released but Russell landed over a hundred years behind bars because of his escape attempts.

Holy monkey this sounds fun.  “I almost pissed my pants laughing when latino followed up the excerp and picture by saying: Hmm, I had a feeling Obi-Wan was hiding more than just a lightsaber under that man robe of his.”   Oh the sweet joy of comedic words.  Here’s a picture from the makeout session:

                                           I Love you Phillip Morris

Reigngangers – Do you think Jim Carrey can make a comeback in the likes of Ace Ventura and Dumb & Dumber, two of my favorite movies?
