Surprise! Surprise! Stan Lee in Wolverine!

Actually it’s never a surprise when Stan Lee shows up on screen in his own marvel films.  In fact I find it to be quite the annoyance and have come to expect him in all marvel comic book movies now.  When I first saw him in the original X-men movie I poked my friend Nate next to me and was like “Dude, it’s Stan Lee” now… I don’t elbow the person i’m with i stand up in the theater and shout from the top of my lungs, “GET THE FUCK OFF THE SCREEN!!!” and then i throw up the super bird.  It really does bother me now.  But as opinion is opinion, others may love seeing him on screen pain homage to his children that are the sweet comics that he birthed us.  And for that i must retract my hard feelings and instead thank him for the gems we call super heroes.  Anyway enough with my ballistic rant lets get down to business with some info from those scruff Mcgruff agents over at Chicago Illinois agency we call yahoo:

The creator of “X-Men” bumped into Wolverine at Comic-Con. After happy introductions between Stan Lee and Hugh Jackman, the actor announced that Lee would make a cameo in the upcoming 20th Century Fox movie “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” due out next May.  “Don’t tell anyone,” Jackman joked about the accidental announcement. “It’s always a big shock when people see him.” “I promise not to try and overshadow you,” Lee said.  Jackman, who made an unannounced appearance Thursday at the convention to tout “Wolverine,” later said that he and Lee had met before, at the opening of the first “X-Men” movie in 2000.

Let me ask you gang… do you like seeing Lee on the screen during every Marvel movie?  Are you impartial to it?  Do you hate it?

I always smile when I see one of his cameos, besides they’re normally less than five seconds and don’t really impact the story (except hulk).

  2. Erick Says:

ha ha that’s right… i think that was his biggest role in any one of his movies lol

  3. mpollock2002 Says:

I agree Erick. Stan Lee needs to get over himself. I know none of these movies would exist without him but I cheapens them when he has to make dumb cameos.

  4. Leo Says:

    I’m just curious mpollock

it wouldn’t bother you then, if he was hidden like he was in the first X-Men movie ? Do you just want him out or have a role like he did in hulk that mattered?

  5. Erick Says:

good question leo… it was kind of like an easter egg thing in xmen correct? same with all of his previous cameos. Hulk was the only time he really had a “lengthy” part. Personally, i would prefer the easter egg cameo. I’d rather not see any lengthy part of him. But that’s just my opinion and i’m sure there are fans out there that love seeing him on screen and that is totally cool with me. Everyone has there geek about em i suppose.
