The Dark Knight breaks records this weekend

I’m afraid that we may have seen, and are on the brink of a supreme
dictatorship that of which is The Dark Knight… Check this out from our
little news givers of Yahoo:
It seems that 4,366 theaters weren’t quite enough.
As hype for new box office champ “The Dark Knight” reached a fever pitch
over the weekend, moviegoers were surfing eBay and Craigslist for tickets,
sometimes paying five times face value for them.
The hottest items were tickets to IMAX showings. The movie opened on 94 IMAX
screens, and company executives did a good job letting folks know that
director Christopher Nolan shot many of thebiggest action scenes w ith an IMAX camera, making it was the best venue for viewing the film.
The going online-auction price for an IMAX “Dark Knight” ticket seemed to be
around $50 — with many sellers asking $60 and many buyers offering $40.
Good ridden… I’m an avid movie fan, but to pay $40-$60 a ticket to me is
crazy. I remember when I walked out for the 7:45pm showing on Friday night
there was a line for the 11:00 showing out the door of the movie theater…
I was shocked… the last time I saw that was for star wars. And dammit it
was worth it. But $40 for a ticket! What do you think gang? Would you ever
pay $40 for a ticket to go see a movie… or would you wait a day or
two(lol) to see it when all the hype is gone?
