Final X-Men Origins: Wolverine Trailer
Posted in 1 on March 5, 2009 by ErickSo… Here is the final trailer for “X-men Origins – Wolverine”… I’ll let you watch it, then I’ll talk, meet you at the bottom:
Yup, I love it. For me, this is the real X-men movie. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I loved the original X-men movies bu I’ll tell you something. Let us travel back to when I was a young boy. I dreamed of the day when they would announce a X-Men movie. ”How cool would it be to see Wolverine, and Nightcrawler in the theater” I thought, I proceeded to dream of who would play the characters… For Wolverine it was a battle between Clint Eastwood, and Mel Gibson, for Professor X, it was actually Pat Stewart, so I was happy with that. For Gambit, I thought Harry Conick Jr., Nightcrawler, I had no idea, and for Storm – …… Oprah… Ok I’m kidding about the last one. Fast forward to 14 or 15 years old, I was a strapping young lad residing in Hadley Massachusetts at the time. I’m walking through blockbuster and what do I see? I see an Entertainment Weekly magazine with a BIG ASS X on th cover… I quickly gathered myself and told my geekgasm(wink) to obey… I read and sure enough… Someone had been smart enough to bring this thing to the big screen. Then, the movie came out, and I loved it… I did… I told myself that xmen would be the only movies I own on DVD, because if you remember, in 2000ish DVD players were just becoming the hot shit. Well, I never ended up buying any three of the xmen movies on DVD at all… Instead, I purchased Last Man Standing with Bruce Willis… But that is neither here nor there. Why didn’t I purchase them? Because no matter how cool it was to see Wolverine sprout his claws…. It just didn’t have that cartoon, comics, xmen feel that I so loved. But, X-Men Origins: Wolverine… from what i’m seeing RIGHT now… This may give me that little boys fullfilment that I so wanted those many years ago.
So… gaaannngg… what do you guys think of the trailer?

Mickey Rourke Offered 250K For Role In Iron Man 2
Posted in 1 on January 26, 2009 by Erick
I love Mickey Rourke “hey mickey he’s so fine he’s so fine he blow my mind hey mickey.. hey hey mickey” ssssorry. Anyway, I think every movie he’s been since his hollywood comeback has been superb. He’s a badass on screen and from what I hear, a totally nice guy. Here’s some news via themovieblog regarding his possible pay check for the upcoming Iron Man 2:
A couple of weeks ago we heard the word that Marvel had approached Mickey Rourke about playing a villain in the upcoming Iron Man 2. We all, collectively, LOVED the idea especially after seeing him return in The Wrestler.
The word on the street right now is that Marvel has offered Rourke $250k to play the part. Remember… that’s an amount of money it would take most of us 5-7 years to make kind of coin. And Rourke will probably have to work, at most, about 15-20 days for it.
Also keep in mind that 18 months ago Rourke was basically an outcast from Hollywood.
Now here’s the thing. Rourke has not come out and started bitching about the amount he’s been offered (to the best of my knowledge) and I hope it stays that way. I hope Rourke continues to show some humility and remembers what the last 10 years have been like and just appreciated the opportunity to be back in the spotlight again. I’ve been cheering for Mickey to make a comeback the last few years and I would hate it if he suddenly developed some sort of sense of entitlement again. That would turn me off.
Some people are talking about how Marvel is being cheap. Me, I kind of appreciate a new studio trying to make the money that flies at actors a little less insane and be a little more financially responsible in theese crazy economic times where people are losing their jobs and homes.
But like I said… keep it in perspective before we jump on the “the studio is being cheap” bandwagon. They offered Mickey Rourke, in my estimation, $12,500 A DAY to get to star in one of the most anticipated movies coming in the next couple of years. You won’t see me shedding any tears for him… and thankfully so far, I don’t see Rourke shedding any either.
Stay real Mickey!
What do I think? hmmm… well, I think Mickey deserves more, but like John Campea said on TMB he’s making a comeback and cant expect to be bank millions and requesting millions and being a bitch about it… He’s redeeming himself you know. But, I cant help but think of the shit actors and actresses i.e. that black dude from Rush Hour. His name eludes me at the moment. He can request 50 mil and be horrible at what he does but Mickey who’s actually trying gets the snub? People like Denzel Washington, have EVERY right to request more but that’s because they are amazing and they have a significant box office draw. I just think that perhaps Marvel studios should possibly reconsider upping that amount a couple hundred dollarhairs… what do you think?

Street Fighter Poster Anew!!!
Posted in 1 on January 22, 2009 by ErickSo… Watcha think about the new Street Fighter movie coming out? Kristen Kreuk is damn hot… ohh…. KK (hehe). I think I’m on the other end of the spectrum here when I saw, I thoroughly enjoyed the Street Fister movie with JCVD (Jean Claudde Van Damme). Add to that, I really would’ve liked to see a sequel from that. But then again, I’m the person that liked the Mario Bros. movie, and Double Dragon… Mark Dacascos (Only The Strong) is my hero! Nevertheless, I give unto thee a new poster for the upcoming streest fiester flim via firstshowing:

Thoughts?
Q: Is that Chinese dude Liu Kang from the Mortal Kombat movies?

Scary Old Virgin
Posted in 1 on January 21, 2009 by Erick
Seems as though Juddy Apatowy is moving to the horror genre, thanks to mania for this scarrrryyyy news:
It seems that the writing team of Bill Hader and Judd Apatow (Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Pineapple Express) may be taking the plunge into the world of horror films. While talking to CHUD, Hader revealed that he has a slasher script penned alongside “Saturday Night Live” writer Simon Rich and producer-director Judd Apatow has expressed interest in seeing Hader run around attempting to escape a gruesome death.
I don’t know if it’s even going to get made,’ Hader told me. ‘Judd met with us and said “I want to do a horror movie with you. I want to see you in a slasher movie.”‘
Which horror films influenced the slasher script for Hader?
‘It’s partially Straw Dogs meets Halloween meets Home Alone meets Monster Squad.’
I hate horror… I really don’t like horror movies in the least. But, if you can get some of the sweet comedy that Judd Apatow pours from his loins onto the big screen and add to that some blood and scary moments… Perhaps we’ll get Scary Movie… or, Scary Movie 2… or Scary Movie 3…. or Scary Movie 4 (you know, the one with the gigantic ipod and a smokin hot Anna Faris) Wait, maybe they should call it Scary Movie 5? Or Superscary? Or Scary Old Virgin? Or Scaring Sarah Marshall? Any Scary Thoughts?
